Urjo conducted its 6th Pediatric Health Camp for 22 homeless girls

Urjo conducted its 6th Pediatric Health Camp for 22 homeless girls (upto 15 years) at Nijiloy Home, Madhyamgram,on Friday, 2nd February, 2024,10 am onwards. Dr Sutapa Konar, a paediatrician of repute (and volunteering for Urjo's Health Camps) and Urjo volunteers conducted the programme. The common ailments were anaemia, worms and scabies, a highly contagious itchy skin condition, which was worrisome. Free medicines were distributed.

There were dance performances by the girls after diyas were lighted by Urjo members. Token gifts were distributed to girls below 15 years and one Urjo member sponsored the lunch at Nijoloy for 100 persons, which included the girls and staff members, in memory of her mother's first death anniversary.
