About Urjo
URJO was established In 2007 with the goal to reassure and restore self confidence in women
going through midlife crises, primarily due to menopause and empty nest syndrome. URJO is a
voluntary organization and the word literally means “Power”. We emphasize the power within
women and encourage them to find ways and means to empower themselves and stay happy.

Urjo Plantation Drive at Acharya Prafulla Chandra Park
Urjo organised a successful Plantation Drive in Acharya Prafulla Chandra Park in Phoolbagan, Kolkata , on 21st August,2026. This was done in collaboration with Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

International Yoga Day 2026
Like every year, Urjo celebrated International Yoga Day on 20th June, 2026 in Kolkata. The programme was in collaboration with Kolkata Menopause Society and members participated in large numbers.
