The Inaugural Session of the 7 days Martial Arts Training Workshop at Alipore Nabadisha Center, (an educational project of WIF & Kolkata Police for street and working children), was held on Wednesday, 16th September at 4pm.
Pujo celebration with underprivileged girls & distribution of sanitary napkins
Urjo's next Pujo event was celebrated on 9th September, 2026 at Nijoloy at Madhyamgram, a shelter for the homeless and underprivileged girls. To celebrate the festive season, the girls put up a cultural programme,showcasing their musical and dance talent which was enjoyed by the Urjo volunteers.
Distribution of Saris at Baghbazar Sarada Prathomik Vidyalaya
Urjo's first Pujo activity was organised at Baghbazar Sarada Prathomik Vidyalaya on Tuesday, 8th September at 4.30pm, where 40 new saris were donated to the mothers of the students who are from the nearby slums in sync with Urjo's motto of 'Bhalo Rekho'

International Yoga Day 2026
Like every year, Urjo celebrated International Yoga Day on 20th June, 2026 in Kolkata. The programme was in collaboration with Kolkata Menopause Society and members participated in large numbers.

Advanced Martial Arts Training Workshop at Nijoloy, a home for the underprivileged girls: The 7 days Advanced Workshop at Nijoloy, a home for the under privileged girls, was inaugurated on 20th May,2026. It was a successful workshop with forty underprivileged girls participating.
Celebration of International Women's Day (IWD)
This year Urjo had two IWD celebrations in sync with our philosophy of ' Bhalo Theko, Bhalo Rekho.' On 17th March, Urjo members celebrated with Mashimas of Apanghar Old Age Home, to fulfill its commitment of 'Bhalo Rekho.' Urjo gifted groceries and kits, containing essential items of everyday use, to Mashimas and spent quality time with them. A few Mashimas sang and Urjo members joined in and the day ended on a happy note for all.
Empowering Through Skills: Progress Assessment at Urjo Sewing School, Aashiyana
A few members visited the Urjo Sewing School at Aashiyana on 25th February,2026. Theytook an exam of the girls... right from scratch from measurement to drawing to cutting to stiching...to judge their progress. A written exam was also conducted. The members were happy to note that they had made good progress which could be perfected with regular practice.
