Pujo celebration with underprivileged girls & distribution of sanitary napkins

Urjo's next Pujo event was celebrated on 9th September, 2026 at Nijoloy at Madhyamgram, a shelter for the homeless and underprivileged girls. To celebrate the festive season, the girls put up a cultural programme,showcasing their musical and dance talent which was enjoyed by the Urjo volunteers.
In order to spread cheer and joy among the girls in sync with Urjo's motto of 'Bhalo Rekho' , Urjo distributed gifts to 54 girls below 18 years and 26 girls above 18 years of age.
Since Urjo also focuses on Health and Hygiene, Urjo distributed 540 sanitary napkins to Nijoloy ( which is their quarterly requirement).

The members were also taken to the Block Unit where inmates stitched items and block printed saris & scarves, made by the resident girls, are sold. Overall, it was a highly satisfying event.
