Urjo inaugurated its first Vocational (Sewing) Training Center

Urjo inaugurated its first Vocational (Sewing) Training Center on 6th February, 2024 at Aashiyana Happy Home, Madhyamgram. It was a very proud moment for Urjo.

Four leg and three hand machines have been installed. Four machines, which belonged to Aashiyana, had to be repaired and three machines were donated by Urjo members. Urjo has provided the raw materials and hired a local tutor to teach the girls. Members will make periodic visits to guide and supervise.

It was an emotional moment for the members when the girls sang to thank Urjo and it was a gratifying experience to see the radiant smiles on their faces when they were being taught to operate the machines.
