Urjo concluded its Durga Puja celebrations on 6th October, 2023 with a visit to The Refuge, on Bowbazar Street, Kolkata and sharing our joy and happiness with elderly ladies (abandoned and homeless and picked up from the streets). Some of the highlights were:

1.We distributed saris & nighties( as per list provided by the organisation) and food packets to the Mashimas.

2. We chatted with them and a few Mashimas entertained us by singing and we also joined in the chorus. Their excitement and happiness were palpable and gave us a lot of satisfaction.

3. We also distributed food packets to the elderly staff of the organisation and interacted with them.

4. Since this was the last day of our Pujo Celebration, we took this opportunity to reward our volunteers who support us in all Urjo programmes.
