Urjo organised its AGM for FY 2024-25

Urjo organised its AGM for FY 2024-25 on 11th October, 2025 at MAGS, Salt Lake. The Welcome address was made by Dr Ratnabali Chakraborty, Founder and Ex President, Urjo. This was followed by a presentation by the President which focussed on the new initiatives like Plantation Drive and Martial Arts Training Workshop for Self Defense and also the way forward for Urjo.

The Secretary made a detailed presentation of the activites in FY 2024-25 which focussed on Urjo's philosophy of ' Bhalo Theko, Bhalo Rekho' ( Stay well and keep others well) and included 'Bhalo Rekho' activities like Health Camps for the underprivileged elderly ladies at Old Age Homes, Pediatric Health Camps at Orphanages, Celebration and spreading of festive cheer among the underprivileged children and ladies, donating money and utility items to the Old Age Homes and Orphanages and empowering Girl Children by training them in Urjo's Sewing School & also equipping other needy girls to make them self employable. 'Bhalo Theko' programme for members included organising an online fashion show and giving away prizes while celebrating Women's Day, Rabindra Jayanti Celebration, Organising Yoga Events and the Annual Picnic.

The Treasurer made a presentation on the expenditure on various activities and donations received during the course of the year. She urged members to donate and also mobilise funds from friends and relatives so that Urjo is able to carry on its activities smoothly. The Vote of Thanks was given by the Assistant Secretary. Kolkata Menopause Society(KMS) handed over a cheque for Urjo's contribution in the Yoga Sangam. This was a part of the fund received by KMS from the GOI. Also, a handcrafted thankyou card, made by the Nijoloy girls to acknowledge their appreciation for the Martial Arts Training Workshop, was displayed during the occasion.

After the conclusion of AGM, Urjo had its Bijoya Sammelani for its members where dance and songs were performed by the members and girls of MAG. The event ended with distribution of food packets.
