Inauguration of the 7 day Martial Arts Training Workshop

The third of the Urjo's festive event was the Inauguration of the 7 day Martial Arts Training Workshop for under privileged girls at Nijoloy Home on 8th September ,2025. The event focussed on training the girls for self protection. This is a joint initiative of Urjo and Karate Do Association of West Bengal and a pilot project for Urjo.

It went off very smoothly and was very well received by the participants and staff of Nijoloy. It started with a cultural programme where both Urjo and the girls of Nijoloy performed. The girls sang a song and it was followed by two dance performances.

Thereafter, there was a formal lighting of the lamp followed by a brief introduction and demo by the four trainers of the Association. The trainers are energetic, sincere , proactive and involved young girls. The arrangements and hospitality of Nijoloy staff were impeccable. The participants were enthusiastic and happy. Overall, it was a successful initiative by Urjo.
